Purchasing Department

The Purchasing Department is responsible for the procurement of materials, supplies, equipment and services at the lowest possible cost consistent with the quality needed to provide the very best services to the public. The primary objectives of the Purchasing Department are to obtain maximum quality, value and service; and to promote fair dealings which ensure that Calumet City taxpayers receive the maximum value for every expenditure.

We recognize the important service rendered by our suppliers in helping to provide economical, quality supplies, equipment and services; and to that end Calumet City is prepared to assist suppliers by providing the information necessary so that they know their part in the purchasing process.
