CALUMET CITY DEPARTMENT DIRECTORY - HEALTH, YOUTH & FAMILY SERVICES
Calumet City is a diverse community, compromised of a range of cultures, ages and economic conditions. In a society experiencing rapid changes and array of challenges, the Calumet City Health, Youth, & Family Services Department is responsive to current emotional needs and development.

Located at the Faith Bailey Health Center, the department provides counseling for individuals and families who live in Calumet City.  Many workshops and seminars are also provided. Contact the department and arrange to talk to one of the professional staff members and together you may consider what type of service or support is appropriate, and including other organizations that may provide the service need. Relevant literature or audio/visual material is also available.

The Health, Young, & Family Services Department the following services:
° Well Baby Clinic - Second & Fourth Wednesday of every Month
Infant and child immunizations are provided free-of-charge. Required school immunizations are also given free-of-charge.
9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
° School Physicals - By appointment only - Dates To be announced
° Blood Pressure Screening - Thursdays from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
° Vision and Hearing Screening for School-Aged Children.
° Hospital Equipment Loan Closet - Calumet City Residents Only
A written doctor's order is required.
° Holiday Food Baskets
° Food Service & Licensing Inspections
° Meals-On-Wheels
° Dial-A-Bus - service for senior citizens who are residents of Calumet City. Please call the health center for dates and times.
° Senior Tax Preparation - February through April
° Special Needs & Homeless Program
° Senior Advisory Board
° Parents' Anonymous Support Group for Teens
° Educational Workshops for 7th & 8th Grade Students - Abstinence Program
° Educational Workshops for 6th Grade Students - Dangers of Street Drugs & Club Drugs

° Teach by your own mistakes
° Honor heroic behavior
