Calumet City is offering
summer employment opportunities to Calumet City
students. The program offers local students an
opportunity to work in their own community during the summer.
PROGRAM
DETAILS
(1) Begins June 16,
2008 & ends August 8, 2008 (8 weeks)
(2) Work hours are 8:00 am to
1:00 pm
(3)
Pay rate is $7.75 per hour
(4) Work duties will include cleaning of streets & alleys,
painting of curbs & hydrants, & other city beautification projects
APPLICANTS
MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA
(1) Must be a
Calumet City resident
(2) Must be sixteen (16) to
twenty-one (21) years of age
(3) Must have a valid Illinois
driver's license or Illinois state identification card
(4) Must be enrolled in high
school or college for the 2008-2009 school year
(5) Must be able to do physical
labor outdoors (shovel, sweep, paint, etc.)

Must provide own transportation to & from the Public Works Garage (1701
Dolton Rd) on work days
Applications must be submitted, accompanied with a
resume & copy of driver's license or state
identification card, copy of school identification card,
& copy of social security card to City Hall, 204
Pulaski Road, by May 30, 2008 at 5:00 pm.
